Hand woven placemat from natural silk waste material. For everyday use or a stand alone piece to create an organic and natural surface texture. 

Made using the outer surface of the silk cocoon, which is normally discarded as part of the milling and spinning process. The remaining silk gum gives a rigid structure to the body, and it will naturally soften with usage.
