Originally from South America, Venezuela, FERNANDO SALAS, FDO STUDIO is a versatile visual artist now based in Perth.

Fernando's creative journey began with explorations in painting and sculpture and has since evolved into the world of ceramics where he has found a unique voice - each one of his pieces is a testament to this evolution.
Fernando now specialises in hand-built ceramics, creating a diverse range of works including wall pieces, sculptures and vases. He works with various types of clay and crafts his own glazes from scratch in his studio. This meticulous, hands-on process enables him to produce one-of-a-kind pieces and maintain complete control over the textures, colours, and finishes of his creations.

Fernando's work reflects a harmonious blend of old and new, tradition and innovation, inviting viewers to experience the intersection of painting and pottery in a captivating and tactile way.
