Introducing “The Shape Of Time And A Sense Of Place’ by Irene Grishin Selzer, an exhibition curated for the Shepparton Art Museum for their Showcase program.

In this Showcase Irene Grishin Selzer has created a series of clay paintings paired with accompanying sculptural pieces.

Irene’s paintings are three-dimensional artworks made up of layers upon layers of clay, mixed-in with natural materials, applied atop a handbuilt ceramic canvas and creating abstract drawings with fascinating and tactile surfaces.
The sculptural pieces act as detailed elements that are directly connected to the paintings and help set the scene to further explore ‘the shape of time and a sense of place’.

Irene’s ceramic works are on display at the Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) until November 3rd, with all pieces available for sale.
