Bread Knife - Eggshell

Bread Knife - Eggshell

$195.00 AUD

We love sourdough and the Bread Knife is our simplified take on a bistro style classic that slices without crushing. Perfect for crusty loaves and soft bread alike, pastries as well as slicing slippery tomatoes without squishing.

The straight top line, rounded tip and 28 scalloped serrations give the blade its distinct, geometric edge. Core steel is hardened to 62 HRC for long lasting sharpness and durability. Finished with a light sandblast and our engraved nomi logo on the blade.

Pair it with your handle of choice, made from bio-resin (partly vegetable scraps) and held into place with hexagonal screws.

Like all nomi knives, it's assembled by hand in their small studio in Stockholm.

Care
Handle with care. Always use nomi knives with a secure grip and only for food preparation. Use a wooden or plastic cutting board. Hard surfaces like glass, marble, or ceramic can damage the edge. Hand wash only. Harsh detergents and prolonged water exposure can cause the steel to rust. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Store safely in a knife block, a protective drawer insert, or on a magnetic knife strip. Avoid storing knives loose in drawers to prevent dulling. A dull knife increases the risk of slipping and injury. For best results, serrated knives require less frequent sharpening and should not be honed. When needed, have the blade professionally sharpened to maintain its edge.

More About Nomi Kitchen

Why isn’t there a kitchen knife that’s as satisfying to look at as it is to use? That question sparked Nomi. Looking around his kitchen, Gabriel thought most tools were shaped by outdated, unimaginative design thinking.

Founded in Stockholm by food and design enthusiasts, Nomi explores how design can be used to spark creativity, joy, and connection in and around the kitchen.

To us, cooking is a creative outlet. A cultural ritual. A way of bringing people together. Whether it’s baking bread, braising coq au vin, or making late-night quesadillas, sharing food turns the ordinary into something meaningful.

Our first product, the Nomi santoku, was crafted over two years. Guided by Scandinavian design principles and inspired by the clarity of mid-century modernism, it represents our belief in radical simplicity with a slice of surprise.

On our journey, we’ll continue to explore new knives, new tools, and new ways of making everyday cooking more beautiful and inspiring.
