This series of vessels reflects the artist's deep connection to the ocean and waterways. They've incorporated shell fragments and moulded casts from shells gathered near Queenscliff, as well as from Tasmania's South Arm coast during a recent artist residency. And ochre rocks and stone inclusions were also sourced from a dry creek bed near the artist’s home and studio in Central Victoria. Through the close observation, collection, and transformation of these natural materials, the artist develops a deeper understanding of and respect for the natural world.
Suitable for holding water.
