Moon Vase

Ceramic vase handmade by Asuka Mew from Wingnut & Co., a North Melbourne based practice established by Asuka and partner Anna Miller-Yeaman in 2013. They use predominantly clay to create their tableware, vases and planters. Asuka is the primary craftsperson and the wheel-based potter for Wingnut & Co. Asuka was raised in Northern Kyushu, Japan and is influenced by historical pottery studios in this area. Wingnut & Co. blends and recycles commercially available Australian clay as well as sourcing and processing hand-dug clay from areas in country Victoria.
